What you should bring to Brothers’ Keeper

  • Long pants and mid-thigh or longer shorts
  • Shirts with sleeves
  • Comfortable shoes or boots to work in and socks
  • Hat or cap (for sun protection)
  • Modest swimsuit (one piece for girls)
  • Light jacket
  • Bath towels and washcloths
  • Pillow and sleeping bag or twin sheet set & blanket
  • Toiletries (deodorant, toothbrush, etc.)
  • Prescription Medications (in original containers) collected at registration and given by Camp Nurse at appropriate times as listed on your Medical Form
  • Work gloves, safety glasses, paint mask
  • Bible, Journal, Pens or Pencils
  • Sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses
  • Flashlight
  • Money for snacks

What you should NOT bring*

  • Sleeveless shirts, tank tops, spaghetti straps, crop tops, tube tops, etc.
  • Shorts above fingertip length
  • Two-piece or revealing bathing suits
  • Jewelry
  • Alcohol, tobacco products, vapes, or e-cigarettes
  • Inline skates
  • Skateboards
  • Weapons

*Parchment Valley and Brothers’ Keeper will not be held responsible for missing items. If you think you may lose it, don’t bring it!

If clothing brought does not meet our guidelines, you will be asked to purchase the appropriate clothing at your expense before participating in any activities.


What Should My Group Bring?

Groups may collect and donate items but we need to know which items will be donated by June 1. Items will not be returned.

Items needed to be donated include:

  • Ladders
  • Paint brushes, rollers, and extension rods
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Drop cloths
  • Masking tape
  • Cleaning buckets and rags

Crew Leaders may also bring (for their own use and to take home after):

  • Tape measure
  • Screwdriver set
  • Rake
  • Cordless drill and bits
  • Circular saw
  • Power cord/extension cords
  • Shovel
  • Pruning shears
  • Brooms
  • Ladders, stepladders, and stools
  • Saw horses
  • Hatchets
  • Drywall tools
  • T Squares
