Do I have to stay the whole week?
All campers (youth and adults) must be in attendance from start to finish. Arriving late or leaving early creates complications for those we serve. Please plan to arrive for registration no earlier than 3 PM on Sunday and stay through checkout on Friday at 10 AM. Please do not attend if you are unable to meet this requirement.
What should I bring with me?
Keep in mind, your time at Brothers’ Keeper will be spent working indoors and outdoors on various projects, from digging fence posts to painting. Between work projects, you will also participate in games, activities, worship, and Bible study. You will need to bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, along with a few other changes of clothes.
You can view our full packing list here.
What is housing like?
Parchment Valley has dorms for our summer missionaries to stay in. Church groups room together by gender. The adults attending are Cabin Counselors, who have responsibility and authority in that setting. Dorms are air conditioned.
What forms and information do I need to provide?
Each youth group needs to submit the following documents:
- Group Registration Form
- Participant Registration Form for each youth
- Health Form for each youth and adult
- Insurance card for each youth and adult
- Date of last tetanus shot for each youth and adult
- Full payment (checks payable to Brothers’ Keeper)
Please mail the above documents to Parchment Valley Conference Center, 1715 Lower Parchment Valley Road, Ripley, WV 25271.
